ABOUT INTERLAKEN

Getting to Interlaken…

Depending on where you come from, your plane will be landing in Zurich or Geneva airport. In any case, you will find a railway station in the airport. Taking the train is probably the easiest way to go to Interlaken. The journey takes about 2 ½ hours from Zurich and not quite 3 hours from Geneva. You will have to change the train in Bern or/and Spiez.

Interlaken has two railway stations. Both are in or very near the city, but we suggest that you get off the train at "Interlaken West". Taxis are at your disposal, unless you prefer to walk, as most hotels are within walking distance of the station.

You will find a map of Interlaken here.

The conference will be held at the Casino Kursaal Congress Center in Interlaken, Switzerland.

Located in the heart of Switzerland, Interlaken is at a two-hour drive from Geneva and Zurich airports and offers excellent road and rail connections. All hotels are within walking distance of the Congress Center.

Interlaken is well-known far beyond the Swiss borders for its outstanding setting: founded by the river Aare, between two lakes, the town faces the Bernese Alps and in particular the world-famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

The Casino Kursaal was built at the turn of the 20th century and still presents its very stylish, restored yet original halls. Seminar rooms are in the newly annexed conference center.
